We plan private driving tours across Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. These three countries sit close enough that a single route can cross all of them without a long transfer day.

Why drive rather than train

The towns worth stopping for are usually between the cities, not in them: the Rhine and Moselle valleys, the Austrian lakes, the Bohemian villages. A car lets those be stops rather than day trips.

Routes we plan

Munich to Vienna via Salzburg and Hallstatt is the most requested line; Prague and the Bohemian towns work as an add-on. Winter changes what is reachable in the Alps, and we plan the passes around that.
