Collection: CRUISES

We arrange cruises the same way we arrange the rest of a private journey: as one part of a route that makes sense for you, not as a fixed package with a set departure. That means the ship, the cabin grade, the sailing and — just as importantly — what you do in the ports before and after.

How we work with cruises

Most travellers come to us with a region in mind — Japan, the Mediterranean, Alaska, Northern Europe — and a rough idea of when. From there the questions that actually matter are not the ones on the brochure.

Which direction the ship sails

A Japan cruise sailing Tokyo to Kobe sees the country in one order; sailing the reverse sees it in another, and on a private tour that difference decides which cities become land days. We plan the land portion around the sailing direction, not against it.

Cabin grade versus port days

On a port-heavy itinerary you are barely in the cabin. On a sea-day route the cabin matters more than the ship's public areas. We will say which applies rather than defaulting to the most expensive grade.

The days before and after

This is where a cruise booked alone usually falls apart: you arrive the same morning, board the same afternoon, and never see the city you flew into. We build the two or three days on each side — hotel, driver, guide — so the sailing sits inside a journey instead of replacing it.

Regions we plan around

  • Japan and East Asia — Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Fukuoka, Okinawa; often combined with a shinkansen segment inland.
  • Mediterranean — Italy, Greece, the Adriatic; port days in cities that reward arriving early.
  • Northern Europe and the Baltic — short summer season, long daylight, and ports that are worth more than the ship.
  • Alaska and the Pacific Northwest — glacier routes where the sailing itself is the reason.

What we do not do

We do not sell cabins at a markup. We help you choose the right sailing and then design everything around it — hotels, transfers, private guides and the land days in between. The booking itself is made at live fares, so you keep the price and the flexibility.

Frequently asked questions

Can you book the cruise itself?

Yes — through live fare search, at the published price. What we add is the choice of sailing and everything around it on land.

Can a cruise be part of a longer private tour?

That is the usual arrangement. Two or three private days in the embarkation city, the sailing, then land days at the other end.

Do you handle shore excursions?

We arrange private guides and drivers for port days where that is better than the ship's group excursion — particularly in Japan and China.
