FUFU Tokyo Ginza is the only hotel in Ginza where every room has a bath filled with real natural hot spring water — piped from Atami, where the FUFU brand began. That single fact is the reason to choose it over the dozens of excellent city hotels within 400 metres.
Here is what that actually means in practice, how many nights, and who should book something else.

What makes it different
Ginza has luxury hotels with better views and bigger lobbies. What it does not have is onsen water. FUFU Tokyo Ginza brings natural hot spring water from Atami into every guest room's bath — so after a day of walking Tokyo, you are soaking in the same mineral water as a seaside onsen town, in the middle of the city.

The rooms are individually designed: yuzu and hinoki fragrance, a garden of flowering trees, traditional crafts and artisan work, and yukimi-shoji screens that filter light and connect the room to the outside air. Categories run from Comfort Suite through Stylish Suite to Executive Stylish Suite.

Food
GINZA GAYU serves Japanese cuisine built on seasonal ingredients from across the country, and there is a second dining option — so a two-night stay does not repeat the same meal.

This matters in Ginza, where the temptation is to eat out every night. The hotel's advantage is the opposite: a proper Japanese dinner, then a hot spring bath, without getting in a taxi.

Location, practically
Ginza 1-chome, in the Hulic Ginza Building at 1-7-10 Ginza, Chuo-ku. That puts you between Ginza's main street and the Kabukiza theatre, with Tsukiji's outer market a short walk or one stop away, and Tokyo Station a few minutes by taxi.
For a first Tokyo visit this is a strong base: shopping, sushi, the theatre, and the old market all within walking distance, with the Imperial Palace gardens 15 minutes on foot.

How many nights
Two nights is right: one for Ginza and Tsukiji, one for a wider Tokyo day with a bath at the end. Three if Tokyo is the main event rather than a stop.

One night works as a bookend before flying out of Haneda — the airport is 25 minutes by taxi — but you will barely use the room.

Who it suits
Couples and solo travellers who want a city stay with a real bath; anyone who has done the big Tokyo hotels and wants something quieter and more Japanese; travellers whose priority is food and walking rather than nightlife.

Who it does not suit
Anyone who wants skyline views — this is a low-rise building in a dense district. Families needing a pool and connecting rooms will do better elsewhere. And anyone who wants a big lobby, a bar scene and a gym: this is a small, quiet property.
