Tourist Attractions

The Kawagoe Warehouse District is known as Koedo Kawagoe, or “Little Edo”. One reason for this name is its preservation of culture and buildings from Edo-era Japan.  

 In the Moomin theme park that reopened in December 2021, you can fully experience the world of Moomin, visit "Moomin House", the background of Moomin's daily life, experience various facilities with storylines, and enjoy Moomin. Live performances by Lumi's family and good friends, and interactions with Lumi's characters, maybe you will discover Lumi's new charm! The product styles in the souvenir shop are among the best in the world, and there are many original products sold only here.  

 Tove Jansson Akebono Children's Forest Park - A park with the theme being the world of Scandinavian fairy tales. With the park rich in green, unique buildings that may tickle one's imagination exist. Moreover, one can play freely in nature whilst feeling the fresh breeze and dappled sunlight, making it a space that brings relaxation to everyone.

Tucked away in the heart of Hakone is Ashinoko, a lake that formed in the caldera created after Mt. Hakone erupted 3,000 years ago. Famous for its impressive view of Mt. Fuji, which you can see on a clear day, Ashinoko is a must-see when visiting Hakone.

The result of a volcanic eruption over 3,000 years ago, Owakudani is a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs. This area is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hakone due to its volcanic activity and striking scenic viewsyou can even catch an amazing view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Due to volcanic gases, the area is sometimes closed, so check before you go. 

 The Hakone Open-Air Museum is an outdoor sculpture gallery that plays with nature. Situated in the mountains of Hakone , it spreads across 70,000 square meters and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. This art museum opened in 1969 and was the very first outdoor gallery in Japan. The museum is the perfect spot to go for a leisurely stroll surrounded by nature, all the while appreciating great art. Needless to say, it's a popular spot for impressive Instagram snaps.

Sakura Furusato Square - The Dutch windmill standing in a sea of beautiful flowers is one of the symbolic landmarks of Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. The fields of tulips in full bloom in April, sunflowers in July, and cosmos in October are so beautiful. During the best season for flower viewing, activities such as flower-picking experiences and sightseeing boat rides are also held. Every year, it attracts a large number of tourists to participate in the event, which is very lively. 

 One of the Kanto region's most impressive temple complexes - Walk along the winding Narita Omotesando shopping street to reach Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, otherwise known as Naritasan Shinshoji Temple or Naritasan, a sprawling temple complex that dates all the way back to A.D. 940. Impressive architecture, a rich calendar of events and proximity to Narita International Airport make Naritasan Shinshoji Temple a worthy addition to any Tokyo layover.
