Tourist Attractions

At Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, you can not only enjoy seasonal flowers, but also interact with small animals.Totoro's Forest is located in the corner of Akaya no Daimon Park in Shima-Akaya, Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It is called Totoro's Forest because it resembles the enchanting world depicted in the Studio Ghibli film, "My Neighbor Totoro."

Selected one of the 100 most beautiful sunset views and one of the 100 best beaches in Japan, Sakurai Futamigaura in Itoshima is famous for the two giant “married couple rocks” that are joined by a “Shimenawa” rope and the torii gate standing on the beach.

The Nanatsugama Caves are designated as a National Natural Monument. These picturesque caves were formed due to erosion from stormy waves of the Genkai Sea hitting the cliffs. The cliffs were deeply worn away. Nanatsugama means seven cauldrons, and just as the name suggests, seven caves line the cliffs. You will be struck with awe by the glory of nature.

The Yobuko Morning Market - One of Japan's Three Major Morning Markets

Hirado Castle - The view from the keep is truly a spectacular sight. This castle is considered the symbol of Hirado.

Toyama Shrine - Japan's only ceramic torii gate.

The Arita Ceramic Park is one of the most captivating spots in Kyushu. Designed in the traditional German manor style, it is a complete recreation of the Zwinger Palace in Dresden, Germany. Arita is renowned for its famous specialty product - ceramics.

Environmental Art Forest - Located on the hillside of Mt. Sakurei, the "Maple Forest" was built over about 40 years. You can enjoy the spectacular natural scenery throughout the four seasons, with fresh greenery in the spring and over 10,000 maple trees turning vibrant colors in the fall. Mikaeri Falls - This is the largest waterfall in Kyushu, selected as one of Japan's 100 Remarkable Waterfalls due to its impressive drop. Okawachiyama is located in Imari , Saga Prefecture, and is known as the "Village of Secret Kilns." From 1675 to 1871, it was the official kiln of the Nabeshima family of the Saga Domain, and was a representative production center of porcelain, producing high quality pottery for the Imperial Court, the shogunate and various lords.

The Kujukushima Islands, located 25 kilometers north of Sasebo Port, consist of 208 large and small islands stretching to the Hirado Strait. The density of islands here is said to be the highest in Japan. In April 2018, the Kujukushima Islands were certified as a member of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" international NGO.

Chiwata Station  - The station has a nostalgic and retro feel. It was constructed and opened for service in 1928. It later became an unmanned station owned by the town of Higashisonogi in 1971, and was then renovated in 1993 to restore its original appearance.

Glover Garden also boasts a great location overlooking Nagasaki Port with Mt. Inasa, a landmark of Nagasaki City, in the background. Isn't it no wonder that the great people who lived just after the port opened were fascinated by this spectacular view?

Initially built to isolate the Portuguese and prevent the propagation of Christianity, the fan-shaped island of Dejima was later home to the Dutch Trading Post and a hub for European trade. As you explore the streets and buildings, you will feel as though you are exploring history itself.

The Meganebashi Bridge is said to be one of the oldest stone arch bridges in Japan. It spans the Nakashima River in Nagasaki and is considered one of the most photogenic tourist attractions in the area. The arch of the bridge is reflected in the water, creating an image that resembles a pair of eyeglasses, hence the name "Megane Bridge" which means "Eyeglasses Bridge" in English.

The night view from Mount Inasa is an excellent vantage point to appreciate Nagasaki, which was selected as one of the "New Three Great Night Scenes of the World" in 2012, alongside Hong Kong and Monaco. In 2018, Nagasaki's night view was further designated as one of the "New Three Great Night Scenes of Japan", together with Sapporo and Kitakyushu. This night view, valued at $10 million, is highly worth seeing.

Nita Pass - In spring, the pass is adorned with blooming azaleas, in summer it is lush with greenery, in autumn the leaves turn vibrant red, and in winter it is covered in rime ice. Throughout the four seasons, Niita Pass is a mecca for sightseeing in Unzen.

The constant steamy and almost apocalyptic like atmosphere (the smell of sulfur included) creates a hell-like scenery, hence its name - Unzen Hell.

Yutoku Inari-jinja Shrine - One of Japan's three largest Inari shrines.

Shiota-shuku - A town rich in history and culture, where the Kawako Shiota-juku and the Nagasaki Kaido Shiota-shuku intersect. It is a place where the legacy of the salt fields can still be felt. Saga Ninja Village Hizenyumekaidou - A historical experiential theme park centered around a ninja from Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. It offers a variety of activities such as ninja training experiences for children, role-playing, and ninja performances.

Mifuneyama Rakuen covers an area of over 500,000 square meters and was built by the Edo period lord Nabeshima Shigeyoshi. Hundreds of thousands of flowers and trees are planted in the vast garden, with different scenery throughout the seasons.
