Vietnam Private Tour: Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam runs north to south for 1,650 km, so a private tour lets you pick one region properly instead of spending the trip in transit. We drive, you decide the pace.
Charter or private tour
Charter means car and driver only: you set the stops. Private tour adds a guide and a planned route. Both are one party per vehicle.
Three workable routes
- North, 5–6 days: Hanoi old quarter, Halong Bay overnight, Ninh Binh. Hanoi to Halong is about 2.5 hours by road.
- Central, 4–5 days: Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue. Da Nang to Hoi An is 45 minutes; Da Nang to Hue is about 2 hours over the Hai Van Pass.
- South, 4 days: Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi, Mekong Delta. City to Mekong is about 2 hours.
When to go
Vietnam has three weather zones. The north is cooler from December to March; the centre is driest from February to August; the south is dry from December to April.
Practical notes
Road speeds are lower than Japan — plan 40–50 km/h average outside cities. Domestic flights are the practical way to combine north and south.
FAQ
Do we need a visa? Check the current rule for your passport before booking; we do not arrange visas.
Can the driver speak Cantonese? Guides are arranged per booking — tell us the language you need.
Is Halong Bay doable in a day? Hanoi to Halong and back is a long day; an overnight on the bay works better.
