Will six days feel too long if we only want the main sights?
Not if the pace is set by you. Hoi An can be covered in five days, so the sixth day is flexibility rather than obligation: keep an afternoon free, return to Hoi An Ancient Town in the evening, or take My Son Sanctuary as a half-day. With a private guide, stops can be shortened or extended.
