Choosing Your Xi'an Tour Length
A six-day private tour gives the Xi'an region room to breathe. Rather than rushing from sight to sight, there is time for the Daming Palace National Heritage Park, a cycle ride around the Xi'an City Wall, the stone tablets of the Xi'an Beilin Museum, and an evening of snacks and folk performances at Yongxing Fang. The seven-day version keeps a similar shape with extra time; the eight- and nine-day tours add further places and set a more relaxed pace, so each visit feels less scheduled. Six days suits travellers who like a moderate rhythm, a mix of heritage and neighbourhood life, and a little free space in the afternoons. Families and first-time visitors often find this length comfortable.

The Daming Palace National Heritage Park in Xi'an, China, is located in the ancient capital and covers a vast area. It was once the palace of the Tang Dynasty. Now as a heritage park, it is shaded by green trees and dotted with ancient relics, showcasing the royal style and historical charm.
Xi'an City Wall, the finest among ancient Chinese city walls, boasts a long history and grandeur. You can cycle around it to experience the ancient city's charm.
Xi'an Beilin Museum, a renowned Chinese calligraphy treasure house, boasts a rich collection of stone tablets, showcasing the essence of calligraphy through the ages.

Yongxing Fang in Xi'an, China is an ancient and charming district. It gathers delicacies from all over, such as Youcha Ma Hua and Roujiamo. There are also folk performances, where you can experience the old Xi'an charm.
The Tang Paradise is located in Xi'an and is a large royal garden. The pavilions and buildings are antique in style, with clear lake water. The Tang-style architecture complements the natural scenery. The night view is splendidly lit, like a fairyland of the Tang Dynasty, making it an excellent place to experience Tang culture.
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, China, built in the Tang Dynasty, stands 64 meters tall. It houses ancient scriptures and its reflection in the pond creates a charming view.
Xi'an Qujiang Pool Relic Park, located in Yanta District, covers 1500 acres. It integrates history, ecology and leisure, featuring attractions like Qujiang South Lake and Qujiang Flowing Drinking, making it a great place for citizens and tourists to relax.
Xi'an Datang Everbright City, next to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Yanta District, features Tang-style architecture and dazzling lights, with a variety of delicious food and performances, showcasing the splendor of the Tang Dynasty, attracting numerous visitors.
The Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum in Xi'an, located in Lintong District, is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. It includes the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors and Horses and the Lishan Garden, showcasing the military and art of the Qin Dynasty. It is a World Cultural Heritage site.
The "Eternal Regret" is a large-scale historical dance drama in Xi'an, China, performed at Huaqing Palace. Adapted from Bai Juyi's poem, it tells the love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei. The 70-minute show, divided into ten acts, uses natural landscapes, classical dances, and high-tech lighting to recreate the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. It's a must-see performance for tourists in Xi'an.
Mount Hua, located in Shaanxi Province, is one of China's famous Five Great Mountains. Known for its steep peaks and magnificent scenery, it attracts countless tourists for hiking.
Xi'an Tour Length: Common Questions
Why choose six days rather than a shorter tour?
Six days leaves room to visit the Daming Palace National Heritage Park, cycle the Xi'an City Wall and still spend an unhurried evening at Yongxing Fang. A shorter version would cover fewer places and keep you moving more each day, with less time to linger at the Xi'an Beilin Museum or return to a spot you liked.
Who does the six-day tour suit?
It suits travellers who prefer a moderate rhythm, mixing heritage with everyday city life. Families, couples and first-time visitors to the region often find this length comfortable, since afternoons stay partly open. If you want more places and a slower pace across the same region, the seven-, eight- or nine-day versions give you that.
Why not book the seven- or nine-day tour instead?
The longer versions add more places and allow a more relaxed pace, which helps if you want to revisit sites or travel with children. If your dates are fixed and you would rather keep the trip compact, six days still covers the Daming Palace National Heritage Park, the Xi'an City Wall, the Xi'an Beilin Museum, Yongxing Fang and Tang Paradise.
