Czech Republic Private Tour and Charter: Prague, Bohemia and Moravia
Prague is the reason most people come, and Bohemia is the reason to stay. The old town is walkable and best without a car; an hour south, Český Krumlov's river bend and the Bohemian Switzerland national park are only reachable properly by road.
包車 — charter, car and driver
A charter is for the days outside Prague: Český Krumlov and Hluboká, Karlovy Vary's spa colonnade, the Bohemian Switzerland park, and the Moravian wine villages around Mikulov. It also handles the airport transfer that most visitors overpay for by taxi.
包團 — private tour, the route planned too
A private tour adds hotels inside the old town rather than across the river, concert tickets, and the timing that keeps Prague's crowds out of your photographs — early mornings at the Charles Bridge, late afternoons at the castle.
Routes that work
- 5 days: Prague three nights, Český Krumlov two, with the castle and the old town.
- 7 days: add Karlovy Vary and the Bohemian Switzerland park.
- 10 days: add Moravia — Brno, Mikulov and the wine cellars — or continue to Vienna.
Getting around
Prague to Český Krumlov is roughly two and a half hours by road. Prague to Karlovy Vary about two hours. Prague to Vienna about four hours by road, or four by train. Český Krumlov to Vienna roughly three hours.
When to come
May, June and September for the cities and the countryside; December for the Christmas markets. July and August are crowded in Prague and pleasant in the countryside — which is an argument for spending those weeks outside the capital.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a car in Prague?
No. The old town is compact and parking is restricted. The car is for the days you leave the city.
Can we do Český Krumlov as a day trip?
It is five hours of driving in one day. Two nights there is far better, and it pairs well with the south Bohemian castles.
Is Bohemian Switzerland worth it?
For walkers, yes — the sandstone bridges and the river gorge. It needs a full day and a car.
Can we combine Prague with Vienna and Budapest?
Yes, that is the classic central European route. Prague–Vienna–Budapest works well by train, with a car for the countryside in between.
Do your drivers speak English or Chinese?
We match the driver to the party. Tell us the language you need when you ask.
Planning this as a private trip?
Tell us your dates, how many nights, and who is travelling. We will send a route outline with measured driving times, free of charge.
