By car, it is approximately 6 minutes from Shiraoi Interchange, approximately 65 minutes from Sapporo Kita Interchange from Sapporo, and approximately 40 minutes from New Chitose Airport Interchange from New Chitose Airport. Parking capacity is 42 cars. When using a car navigation system, enter the map code 545 193 836*36; it does not display correctly in search by phone number. Snow and road freezing may occur during winter weather, and the use of studless tyres or chains is recommended.
電車の場合は、JR白老駅（北口）から徒歩約10分です。札幌からは、JR札幌駅から特急北斗12号（函館行き）に乗車し、JR白老駅まで約65分です。飛行機の場合は、新千歳空港からレンタカーまたはタクシーで約40分です。

The Upopoy National Ainu Museum is next to KAI Poroto and offers the chance to experience Ainu culture. The region is also associated with local seafood such as crab, botan shrimp, scallops and salmon.
